An exceptional hike in the bowels of the volcano<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A hike starting from Bains Jaunes in Saint-Claude to discover Guadeloupe's exceptional natural depths, Ravine Blanche and Matilys.
Because of the technical and difficult sections of the hike, we recommend it for children aged 12 and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First pass through the ravine Blanche, a mint-colored water with walls of colloidal sulfur. The water gushes from beneath the Soufri\u00e8re volcano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A colorful technical walk<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Leaving Ravine Blanche, we find a second waterfall, this time orange, ferruginous and warm. This water comes from the depths of the Soufri\u00e8re volcano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The view over the Caribbean Sea, and then we continue with a few difficult passages, forking off into another gully to arrive at the bottom of a cirque with a steaming, sulfur-scented wall, like a gateway to the active volcano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Ravine Blanche<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This hike into the depths of Guadeloupe, to Ravine Blanche and Matilys, is spectacular for its colors, nature abounds, not to mention the smell of sulfur!
Matilys is a wall of sulphur with permanent sulphur fumes. You're standing beneath the Soufri\u00e8re volcano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
